The seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and the #48 Ally DPi-V.r completed their final ride together last fall at Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. Johnson was joined by Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Rockenfeller and Jose Lopez in his second year with the Ally #48 Cadillac. The team competed in the Rolex 24, Twelve Hours of Sebring, Six hours of The Glen and Peitit Le Mans within the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup series.
The #48 Cadillac will be retired as Johnson moves on to the Garage 56 project in which he will drive the No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at the 24 hours of Le Mans. Johnson will be joined by teammates Jensan Button and Mike Rockenfeller.
